The past few days I have been thinking of my 'one thing' to be used in this project. I knew that I didn't want to continue with the same object as my '13 Things' projects as I want to experiment with other materials.
I have always been interested in the fashion industry so I came across the idea of using fabric or textile for this project. The two terms are fairly similar though I will go for fabric as I think that there are much more opportunities for experimentation.
Textile: any material that is made up of interlacing fibers
Fabric: a material made through weaving, knitting, spreading, crocheting and bonding
Annabelle (also known as Cat Creature) is a textiles student at RISD. I have been following her for a couple of years where she documents her projects through vlogs on YouTube. Her videos mainly consist of beauty, travel, fashion as well as her studies.

In her academic orientated vlogs, she documents her process of thoughts, acquiring her materials as well as setting up her exhibitions. She experiments with different techniques, colours, patterns and materials when designing. When exploring, I will definitely be using Anabelle as a reference whilst gathering ideas.
Additionally, I am hoping to visit the National Textile Museum located in KL. I have never been there before but I assume that most of the displays will be showcasing more traditional pieces which is a good thing as I can compare them to more modern pieces.
