ZINE 1:
As most vendors at markets hand write their pricing signages I went for a hand written typography to incorporate into the zine. I then scanned the page, and proceeded to play around with the editing til satisfied.
Some photographs were taken at the market while others were taken at home due to lighting and timing. I took photos of locals at the market as well as the surroundings.
ZINE 2:
This zine is revolved around newspapers therefore I created collages, and made use of the typography to create my own sayings. Cutting out parts of collected newspapers, I stuck them into my sketchbook and scanned them additionally cleaning them up and manipulating them into
collages etc.
Something that I struggled with while taking photos for this zine was that I was not able to find someone to model for me. My last resort was to be my own model and take the photos using a timer. This was a hit and miss as some photos were not in focus.
I tapped up newspapers onto a corner of a room as my ‘studio’.
