What do you enjoy?
In general, there are many things I enjoy and make me happy. Some of those things are sewing, anything in a gigantic/chunky or miniature form, plants, pretty beaches & mountains as well as mid century modern spaces. I also like watching fashion & makeup videos online. Where as of recently I've been getting into cooking and finding new recipes to try.
What do you fear?
I've always been a big scaredy cat growing up and have had a fear of basically everything but a big fear of mine is open water. When ever I go to the beach to swim or snorkel I have to be able to see the sea bed at a reasonable distance as I'm afraid of what might happen. I also have a fear or reptiles especially snakes and lizards.
What do you want from the course?
Something I want from this course is to finally find what my strengths are and to find my design 'aesthetic'.
What can you offer the course?
I believe that I am able to offer my peers my help and opinions when they ask me to as well as my positivity in and out of class.
Where do you want to be/what do you want to be doing two years from now?
Two years from now I would like be happy with the job I have and to be working for a brand/company of an industry that I love being a part of.
Which designers / illustrators provide a context or inspiration for the type of work you want to do?
When it comes to designing and illustrating I have two different styles which is normal (I hope) below are some people that inspire me when creating. Though both are quite minimal, my preferred design direction for typography, packaging etc is more towards earthy colours. I am still perfecting my style as its important for me to try out a bit of everything to see what I like.

What current issues might graphic designers need to focus on or address?
I think that it's important for designers to know what's right and wrong. Recently, an athleisure brand called Lululemon was under fire for bringing out a graphic shirt with an illustration of a takeout box with bat wings with the words 'no thank you'. Therefore I strongly believe that graphic designers should think whether or not their work might offend or trigger anyone.
How would you define bad design or illustration?
I don't think there's a definition of a bad design, as we are all life long learners and there is always room for improvement no matter what.
