FINAL OUTCOME

To bind the book together, I chose a thread saddle stitch as I think that the thread adds a natural feeling to the book, tying everything together. I also want to print the book on recycled paper with soy based inks. If I were to print on 'normal' paper then it would ironic as my intentions of this project was to become more sustainable as a graphic designer. I also think that recycled paper has a nice feeling and texture to it.

Here are some spreads from my book. As you can see, I kept it more structured since It was fairly text based but with the illustrations, I tried to keep it more organic looking. Each section roughly has an accent colour. For example, my introduction to sustainable living is orange, print resources is green and pink for general sustainable brands in Malaysia.
I chose to add a section on sustainable brands in Malaysia as I believe that if you were to practice lifestyle, then why not try to integrate a little bit of everything where you can such as buying groceries. Who knows you might discover something new from another company/industry.
