Brand Concept
For my escape bag, I decided to brand the products under the name 'Hilang'. The word hilang come from the Malay word meaning lost, disappearing or gone depending on its context.
In this case the word hilang translates to the disappearance of the proboscis monkey. To create a sense of cohesion, I've decided to 'brand' the products to make the escape bag more realistic and professional.
However, to 'market' the products, my vision for the posters are taking on a grunge/political way in terms of tone of voice. The entire project is metaphorical hence why I am going for this type of marketing and brand style.


Inspired by rebellious/political style posters, I will be marketing the escape bag in the form of digital collages. These collages will include different sayings, some of which are more serious, and some more humorous. The end goal of this project is to create more awareness through a metaphorical brand
Logo Development

This is a variety of different logo ideas for the brand. The main concept is disappear. The disappearance of the Proboscis monkey and their homes but most importantly, to disappear from the human race. The logo sketches mostly vary from fading/gradient logo and missing letters.
However, I think I have decided to stick to a letter mark style logo as the project's whole focus is to market the products rather than the logo. A letter mark logo is also a lot more bold, strong and has flexibility to it.

Above are initial tryouts of the logo concepts I believe suit the brand concept the most. Note that the starred (*) designs are the the ones to be further developed into the final outcome. I am aiming to hand embroider the logo onto the bag hammock as well as the face mask which is why I need something that isn't too complicated. However the possibility of having a primary and secondary logo is still open.
