LOGO CONCEPT + BRANDING

The main concept of my brand is comes from the word 'happy'. I am often referred to as someone who is always happy and smiling so i took that as the beginning step for my logo. I chose to keep my logo minimal so that it could be used diversely and so that it can be remembered easily. I chose 'A' simply because that's the first letter of my name. The curves of the letter A represent the lines of a persons smile whereas the spark cutout in the center of the letter symbolises the brightness in the word happy. my colour scheme, my brand is made up of two colours. the soft purple symbolises youth and femininity but also represents creativity. The contrast of a dark grey keeps everything elegant yet professional. However, a touch of red can be seen sparsely throughout my online portfolio as an accent colour.

Throughout my branding, I used the raleway font family in regular, light, medium and semibold. However I also use the font Appetite new as a display font such as in titles. The Raleway font family keeps everything professional as a simple sans serif font but by using Appetite New I am able to bring in the youthful and fresh look to it.

My CV and cover letter both take up three columns in their layout. I chose to keep it very minimal to go along with my logo. For my CV, I kept the more important sections: Education and Experience at the top. You can also see the small greeting at the top of the pages in the Appetite New font and the spark taken from my logo.

For my name card, I went for a squared shape. Standard name cards are rectangular but I think that a square shape gives it a whole new look and can potentially stand out among others. One side has my logo on it whereas the informational side has my name written in the display font where I intentionally made it sightly hang of the edge of the paper. I also included the spark that can be seen in the middle of my logo.
